Ilustrasi Otak Manusia In communities in circulation myth that every seven years (or 10 years) depending on the version of the stories you hear, we become a new man. The reason, in this period, all cells in the body have been replaced with new cells.

From research, it is true that each cell in the human body has the age of each. However, if the myth is true?

In the book Science Desk Reference (Stonesong Press, 1995) mentioned, the human body contains 50 to 75 trillion cells. They each have their own age and when the human in question dying, the cell takes hours even days to die.
Forensic Investigators frequently use these circumstances to determine the cause of death and time of death, such as a suicide.

As quoted from Life Little Mysteries, April 6, 2011, red blood cells can live for 4 months, while the white blood cells live on average more than a year. Tues-owned colon died after 4 days, while sperm cells only 3 days old.
Although cells generally have a short age, but brain cells usually live as long as humans are alive. Neurons in the cerebral cortex, for example, is not replaced when they die.

From the facts above, the 7 year cycle as the berdar story is not true because the cells die and be replaced almost every day by the body. It is unclear where this myth originated. Chances are, someone who has good intentions but lacks enough information to assume that all cells are updated after 7 years and then man became a new man.
